Description of Essential DutiesCommunicate and listen effectively with customer, co-workers, operations manager, and branch manager.Properly maintain/repair equipment which may include: Straightening of braces, scrapping damaged ends of wood planks, removing concrete from frames, etc.Safely, accurately, and promptly pull orders. This may include reading the picking ticket, utilizing a forklift and/or manually picking equipment, bins or racks, and banding equipment as necessary to load onto trucks or place in wire bins. Checking off equipment on picking ticket to ensure the proper quantities and equipment are delivered per customer request.Upon return of equipment, count and inspect every piece of equipment and document on return ticket (specifically documenting damage or shortage). Safely unload truck either manually or via a forklift and return equipment to the warehouse or yard. Sort and organize equipment in shelves, bins, or racks according to branch specifications, safely leaving forklift in down position after completion.Supervisor ResponsibilitiesNoneQualification RequirementsBasic oral communication skills are required.High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent.Pass our driving background check and become an authorized driver of company vehicles including passing our company forklift certification training.The ability to do basic math is desired.Warehouse experience using power tools, pry-bar and banding OR previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and/or hear, and/or use hands and fingers to handle or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, and/or walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move and/or pull up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance) of equipment, which may include lifting 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance) above shoulders (6-7 feet) to load onto trucks or racks. Must also be capable of climbing onto trailers or trucks and onto racks to secure and move equipment as well as climbing ladders to precarious places. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentThe employee could work in high, precarious places, is potentially exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust, non-weather heat, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is also regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and may work in varying degrees of confined space. The noise level is usually moderate but may be loud at certain times.
