About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Biller - Denial Specialist to focus on AR denial management, appeals, and insurance claim resolution. This in-person role is based in Shreveport, with a strong preference for local candidates. For the first three months, compensation will be $20/hour, increasing to $22/hour after the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and submit patient billing and insurance claims with accuracy.
• Review and verify patient information, including insurance and medical records.
• Manage denial resolutions by filing appeals and resubmitting claims as needed.
• Conduct follow-ups with insurance companies to ensure timely resolution of unpaid claims.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and medical billing standards, including ICD-10.
• Collaborate with providers to address and resolve billing or coding discrepancies.
• Accurately document medical records using the MEDITECH Expanse system.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in medical billing, with a strong focus on denial management and collections.
• Proficiency: Knowledge of medical coding systems such as ICD-10 and expertise in MEDITECH Expanse are required.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare staff.
• Local Candidates: Preference given to candidates based in or near Shreveport, LA.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
