American Bank & Trust Company is looking for anexperienced Loan Clerk for the Opelousas location. The position providesadministrative assistance to loan officers, including updating loan data intothe financial institution's computer systems to includeHorizon XE, Compliance One, Client Link, TEJ, etc., and assemblingdocumentation for loans. Ensure that loan files contain documentswith proper signature, dates, and other relevant data, andverifies accuracy of loan documentation. Checks documents forproper legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures. Maintains newand paid loan files daily. Performs avariety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures andloan policies. Answer all credit inquiries for loans, credit cards and/ordeposit accounts. Balance general ledger accounts, loans, and credit cards daily, check the accuracy of theinformation, and wait on customers in person and on the phone. Theposition requires a High School Diploma or better; experience in an office orbusiness setting; proficient typing skills; Word, Excel, and basic computerknowledge with the ability to adapt to new computerprograms; good communication skills, multitaskingand attention to details; have some knowledge of banking laws andregulations.
