Administrative Assistant – Oakdale, LA

Pay: $20 per hour, paid weekly on Fridays
Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays, 7:00 a.m. –3:30 p.m.

Waste Connections is seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations, customer interactions, and financial processes. Ideal candidates are those who work well in a fast‑moving environment, take responsibility for their tasks, and value strong teamwork.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and follow tasks through to completion
  • Ownership mindset and pride in maintaining systems
  • Positive, team‑oriented personality
  • Strong customer service and problem‑solving skills
  • Clear, timely communication
  • Minimum 2+ years of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multi‑line phones and greet walk‑ins
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Reconcile tickets and maintain accurate records
  • Accounts Payable: create POs, process P‑card and ACH transactions
  • Billing: review scale tickets, generate and submit invoices
  • Accounts Receivable: process and post payments
  • Collections: communicate with customers about balances and payments
  • Support scale house operations as needed
  • Generate supply orders
